EasyPeasy! Motor replacement was a snap! My only hang-up was having to buy a 10T torx screwdriver - bought a whole set so that won’t be a problem in the future. Thanks so much for being a great resource!

It was more time consuming to remove the housing than to replace the motor. A simple alteration in its design could resolve that difficulty.

My experience with frenchpresscoffee.com was great! My original motor died and they were one of the few sites I found offering replacements.

Virtuoso motor died. Instead of trashing an expensive 8 year old grinder, I purchased replacement motor here. Good price & fast shipping! Relatively easy to install (20 min) if you’re handy with tools. Baratza has step by step YouTube instructions!

I ordered the Baratza grinder motor online, which was quick, easy and reasonably priced. The delivery was on time and the product was exactly what I ordered.

Really easy to replace and works great. I was contemplating just trashing the grinder and getting another brand. I’m happy I didn’t it works like it’s brand new.

For the grinder itself I'm disappointed that the motor only lasted 4 years.
The Baratza is an upper mid-line grinder which we've used to grind approximately 6 cups of coffee every day.
My expectation is the motor should virtually last forever. Or at least 10 years.
The instruction guides for case disassembly and motor replacement were easy to follow.
Do keep in mind you will need an intermediate level of DIY skill and a fundamental understanding of electronics to perform the replacement. For example the ability to troubleshoot the issue with the grinder down to a bad motor versus an intermittent switch.

Arrived as expected. New leads included. The $50(ish) price was equal or better than anywhere else I could find.
Repair was easy. Works like new now.

The French Press Coffee Grinder motor I ordered was delivered in 36 hours - amazing! I thought only Amazon did that. It was exactly the right part and I got the grinder repaired in 30 minutes. The only reason this got 4 stars and not 5 is that I thought the price was too high. A little motor like that should not have been $50.
