Baratza Paddle Wheel with Felt Assembly Replacement (fit Encore, Virtuoso, Virtuoso +), Part# 6380

The first time I ordered a replacement paddle wheel it was lost in the mail. I contacted this company and they quickly sent me another at no charge. Up and running again. Great service!

I was so relieved to find this paddle wheel was readily available when my coffee grinder broke. With the youtube instructions, it was a quick install and we’re back up and running for under $15 . Not bad!

I ordered a replacement paddle wheel for my Baratza Encore grinder and received it four days later. Amazingly fast turnaround!

Once the burr releases, which is not easily done, the paddle and felt insert replacement parts fit perfectly. Now I’m back to grinding the coffee beans like when the coffee grinder was new.

We had accidentally backed up our grinder with coffee grounds, and the paddle wheel broke; kind of a sacrificial part. Fortunately, you can actually get parts for this grinder, and there are plenty of videos online showing how to disassemble it, including helpful instructional videos from this website. All in all, it's nice to have something like this grinder that you don't have to just throw away if it breaks. Great customer service from French Press Coffee. I ordered two paddle wheels, just in case :)

This is the second paddle wheel I have purchased. I admit it is most likely my fault for running the grinder too long, the bin overfills and the grounds back up in the chute. The replacement instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. Depending upon your situation, sometimes the more "difficult" solution is easier. The first time I replaced the paddle wheel, it was fairly easy to undo the grinding burr. The second time I had to remove the the motor from the chassis. Had I I done this in the first place I would have saved a bunch of time and frustration. All in all, The Encore does a great job of grinding coffee. I put it through its paces as I get my beans from Costco, and generally go through about 2 lbs of beans every 10 days or so. In the future i will not fill the Encore hopper more than halfway, this will assure that the machine will not be overwhelmed.
