Clever Coffee Dripper, Large (18 oz.) - Full Immersion Coffee Dripper

Got this for my wife to make her morning cup of coffee. She can easily make 1-2 cups.

I was so happy I received my Clever Dripper yesterday. Smooth texture, no bitterness and it tastes great. I enjoyed every sip.

I really do think this is a great way to make coffee. Simple, easy with very little effort and produces a wonderfully clean taste from the brew. It a much easier way than the regular pour over methods. Nice to have simpler options especially when other things can get so complicated. Great tool with great results.

Certified coffee nut here. Have tried just about every coffee brewing method available except Aeropress. The Clever Dripper is the easy winner for me. simple, cheap, no motors or batteries, no wall socket needed, and almost no skill needed. works with easily available #4 coffee filters (I fold mine slightly for better fit). I suggest a cheap timer to pair with the unit so you can brew more consistently. Time brewing will depend on your filter brand. They have different pore sizes and flow rates. I use Trader Joe's filters with 1:30sec brew time. Adjust as you see fit.

The Clever Dripper is - in my humble opinion - the pound-for-pound champion of home coffee brewing. In my experience, no other coffee-making gadget is going to give you a great cup as often as the Clever, much less as cheaply and as easily as the Clever does.

What a great improvement on the standard type Melitta filter holder. No more burned fingers holding the bottom to allow the boiling water to sit in the coffee for a minute or so! Well designed, and works perfectly.

Replacing our previous Clever coffee after many years of daily use. My husband is the coffee drinker (tea for me!) and prefers pour-over/through coffee (not a Keurig fan). We only need 1.5-2 cups in the morning and this is an ideal solution. Thank you for prompt shipping and delivery, especially while we are "sheltering at home" during the COVID-19 crisis!

My first acquisition from this completely terrific company. Not a coffee snob--after decades of coffee-drinking, my palate is trash--but I have tried every brewing method from the mundane (I remember both Corningware percolators and the introduction of the first Mr. Coffee auto-drip) to the exotic (vintage vacuum, French press, Turkish pot, Aeropress). I have always dismissed pourover as being reminiscent of hot water into which the brewmeister has dipped an eyebrow pencil: the water simply runs through too fast for a sufficient percentage of the yum to be extracted.

Enter the Clever Coffee Dripper. Hm, sez I, looking at the pictures of the crystalline plastic with light-catching ribs, this combines the ease and neatness of the pourover with the ability to time the extraction of the French press. And only $22. For $22, I can experiment.

The Dripper, incidentally, arrived in spectacular condition in what seemed like moments. Well done, French Press Coffee shipping elves! My first try, I followed the utterly charming directions (when they say this is a Taiwanese product, they are not kidding) like the box was a tablet engraved on high. I am delighted to report that what I got out of the Clever Dripper was strong enough to patch potholes. (This is a high compliment; I like super strong coffee.) The second try backed off on the beans somewhat and it was completely, thoroughly delicious--the best possible combo of pourover and French press, with no requirement for cream to even out bitterness because there wasn't any.

I was a bit apprehensive about leaks, because let's face it, no one wants to deal with a colossal mess running over the counters when they're undercaffeinated, but the dripper works perfectly: the brewing coffee stays in it and the dispensing mechanism works like a champ. I'm going to be jolly careful with it so that it doesn't bust or anything, but it seems robust enough to last for quite a while. And it if inevitably succumbs to entropy, I know where to get another.

The missus and I are planning to retire to a tiny RV, and knew that our beloved Bodum Bistro auto-pourover would have to go into storage, as it's too big to take. The Clever Dripper is going to be our companion on what we hope is a vast journey across the continent that we will now be reliably awake enough to appreciate. I'm so happy with the new Clever Coffee Dripper. It makes a much better cup of coffee compared to the Keurig I had been using. Plus, it's portable!
