Reusable Metal Filters for AeroPress Coffee Maker (2 pack), Brew Bold Coffee

Making coffee while backpacking is so much easier with these than carrying paper filters and worrying about keeping them dry. Excellent product and company!

I love my aeropress, and always used the paper filter. The metal is just o.k. I find more sediment!

Love the idea of not having to buy paper filters but this doesn’t work like the paper ones. The hot water goes through this filter faster than the paper making my coffee more watery. The second time I used it I put less water but it doesn’t make a difference, still watery. I don’t drink black coffee, I have a milk frother to make lattes with so I need my coffee to be strong. Looks like I’m stuck buying paper filters.

The paper filters have worked fine for me for several years. Having tried the mesh filter once, I think I will keep it in reserve and continue with the paper filters. I find my routine of emptying the Aero Press does not work so well with the mesh filter. The paper filter is compostable and goes right into my compost pile. I thought the mesh filter would 'reduce my carbon footprint' and so it will, but old habits die hard.
As I said earlier, after decades of using a stovetop espresso maker and for decades before that using a Chemex, The AeroPress is a wonder. I t makes a fine cup of coffee..

I picked this up to use in an Aeropress. It does a great job and I don't have to worry about using paper -- makes the Aeropress more portable and more sustainable in the long run. 1st purchase from French Press Coffee -- super-fast & great experience! Will keep you in mind for other coffee gear.

The filters arrived fast, and work great. Much better tasting coffee than with paper filters. The filters fit my press perfectly and the screen is very fine, no grounds or coffee sludge in my drink. I recommend these metal filters, and recommend frenchpresscoffee.com. Great product and great service.

Sounds like a great idea, and less hassle than paper filters. We will only use this for our road trips and the next is a couple of months away so, until then, can’t really evaluate.
