Baratza Wingnut Replacement for Encore, Part# 6179

There was a small stone in the beans that broke the wings off the grinder wingnut. This is a simple and inexpensive repair, just remember that this wingnut is reverse threaded. The purpose of the wingnut is to help get the beans down into the grinder burrs. Without it installed it takes a long time to grind and requires some shaking to get all the beans ground. Since the grinder is very loud, the quicker it grinds, the better. I recommend buying a spare or two. French Press Coffee was great to deal with and the shipping was fast too.

What can I say about a wing nut except that it fits.

I broke my old wing nut (I didn't know it was reverse threaded). Without it the beans would clog above the burr and not enter the grinder without shaking or shoving. I replaced the wingnut and it works! It grinds very fast now.

Lost the wingnut that secures the burr on my bartza encore coffee grinder. I like their "don't replace it, fix it" philosophy. Ordered the wing nut, received it quickly, back in business!
